More trading hours, more possibilities

The foreign exchange market is open 24 hours a day, knowing that the most active trading hours are important.

For example, if we choose a time period with a small transaction volume, the US Eastern Standard Time 5 pm – 7 pm EST is just after New York is closed and before Tokyo opens. At this time, only Sydney started trading, so the spread of this time period is compared with London, the United States and Tokyo, and the spread is relatively high. Less trading opportunities means fewer financial opportunities. If you want to trade EUR/USD, GBP/USD or USD/CHF, you will find that there are more trading opportunities during the 8 am – 12 am GMT period, when the European and American trading markets are open.

Alertness and opportunity

Another time that investors need to be wary is the timing of government reports and official emergency news releases. Although each government will announce the exact time of the press release in advance, due to the time difference, each country’s release time will be different.

So it is very valuable to find out the release time of different countries. Most of the time, it is consistent with the most intense time for foreign exchange trading. So this has great profit opportunities for investors, but at the same time it may be counterproductive.

As a trader, you have two choices: you can participate in a fierce period of forex trading to get higher profits from high floats; or during these time periods you decide to suspend trading and conduct foreign exchange trading in a conservative manner. No matter which one you choose, you should plan ahead to prevent you from losing money when the price changes during the press release.
